Learn more about Highland Beach

The town of Highland Beach is a 1.1 mile strip of land between Delray Beach and Boca Raton and between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterways on Florida State Rod A1A (Ocean Avenue). Highland Beach has a population of around 4,150 people, which increases to approximately 8,500 in the winter months due to “snowbirds” coming down from the northern states & countries. Although very small, Highland Beach has its own police and fire departments, its own library, as well as water and wastewater utility service. In Highland Beach we see mostly ocean-front mansions and luxury condos on its ocean side and luxury high-rises, homes and townhomes on its west side fronting the Intracoastal. Highland Beach is strictly residential. There are no stores, restaurants or nightlife. However, those things are not missed because down the road, just a skip and a hop away, is exciting Delray Beach, where one can find just about everything.
